Welcome to Pride In Agriculture
Voices from LGBTQ+ people and allies in agriculture to feature the diversity and leadership within our industry who work to make our community a better place for everyone.

Pride In Agriculture began in June 2022 as a grassroots effort to bring visibility and awareness of LGBTQ+ people in agriculture and rural communities.
After near 15 years of advocacy in agriculture, bringing diverse stories of farmers and ranchers forward to help consumers learn more about where our food comes from, I realized that my advocacy platform needed to focus on different aspects of diversity in our community.
Being a gay man in agriculture, I was long afraid to share my story as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a series of events where I experienced workplace discrimination directly impacting myself and others, I needed to take a step back and realize how I could make a greater impact for change.
Pride In Agriculture is about bringing stories, perspectives and resources from LGBTQ+ people and allies to help us build a more inclusive space for diverse people in agriculture and rural communities.
–Ryan Goodman, Founder of Pride In Agriculture
Growing Awareness
LGBTQ+ people are leaders in agriculture and rural communities, but we’re not always visible. Pride In Agriculture is a space to share these perspectives, the challenges we encounter, and advice how to be more inclusive of everyone.
Sharing Resources
Farmers, ranchers, and small businesses in rural communities often do not have access to the tools and resources for creating greater inclusion or navigating these difficult conversations. This is a space making those resources available.
Building Community
If you want to go far, go together. LGBTQ Agriculture people and our allies are seeking community to know we’re not alone in this work. We’re on a mission to provide a platform for this community to grow and thrive for positive change.
