"At the heart of every thriving industry are its people. Whether in agriculture, food production, or any other sector, the strength of an organization is rooted in how it treats its workforce." This is the month where we jump in and give our annual recaps, right? 😉 Our community is stronger when more of us are visible. And not just during Pride Month, but in the everyday stories of how we live, work, and are leaders in agriculture and our rural communities. Not everyone is out. But that doesn’t mean they’re not here. 2025 will go in the books for #PrideInAg as having its largest reach yet. And for that, I'm thankful for everyone who has supported that effort by sharing your story, making contributions, or helping these resources reach larger audiences. the holidays aren’t always a season of “going home.” Mental health is not discussed enough in agriculture. The USDA’s Farm Stress and Mental Health Resources describe how farm work can take a serious toll through many challenges. It feels like every election season deepens the divides in this country. You can’t go far without hearing someone talk about “us” and “them.” Yet this past election cycle, I noticed a few glimmers of hope where people seemed to step away from the loudest, most hateful voices and toward something closer to the middle.
